Tech Visa & the startup route
Türkiye's Tech Visa started on 16 September 2024 for technology professionals, with two routes: a job offer from a Turkish tech company, or founding a tech startup in Türkiye. The startup route needs no Turkish employees; it needs approvals from the Ministry of Industry and Technology and a project shown to be innovative and viable for Türkiye.

What is the Tech Visa?
A work permit of up to three years for technology professionals, applied for through the Ministry of Labour's work-permit system. It is different from the Turquoise Card.
What does the startup route cost, and how long?
USD 3,000 in total and about four months, covering company registration and residence, the project write-up and interview preparation. A standard company registration is much faster (USD 1,200–1,500).
Which route is mine?
A job offer from a Turkish tech company means the professional route; your own idea or startup means the founder route. We settle it together in the free consultation.
I already hold a work permit through my own company — what now?
