Marriage Registration in Turkey
To register a marriage in Turkey, you must go to the municipality (Belediye) of your place of residence.
Depending on the municipality’s schedule and workload, you will be given an appointment for your wedding.
You will need the following documents for marriage registration:

• Birth certificate (translated version of your national ID or birth certificate)
• Single status certificate (translated version of your birth certificate from the consulate with the Civil Registry seal or obtained from Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and sealed by the Turkish consulate in Iran)
• Notarized translation of your passport
• Health certificate from a hospital in Turkey
• Five passport-sized photos

🔔 Please note: If you are applying for a visa, the B1 form should be requested at the municipality (Belediye).
